UN Cemetery

The only cemetery in the world managed by the UN.

Flag masts of the 22 participating nations of the UN forces in the Korean War.

Approximately 11000 fallen of the UN forces were buried here during the period 1951-54. Thereafter most were removed to their home country. The cemetery is permanent home to 2300 war heroes.

Canada was among the countries with a large contribution to the UN forces.

All participating nations have a plaque like this one. USA lost about 35000 soldiers.

Denmark's contribution.

After an interesting visit to the cemetery, I had a quick look in the nearby Busan Municipal Museum.
